On Wednesday, I gave a presentation on Borderline Personality Disorder at the local Peer Support Center.  It went pretty well.  A few people have already signed up for my BPD Discussion Group.  I’m so glad to have a place where we can feel safe to have our feelings, and not have to put on our “happy faces.”  It’s so exhausting having to “wear a mask” constantly.  We shouldn’t have to, but I do.

One person said that I seemed very confident as I spoke.  Another said that I must have done a lot of research.  Maybe more people will hear about it and we’ll raise more awareness, and help get rid of stigma and misconceptions.  I really hope so!

    1. Thank you! It was a little difficult at first, especially with my Social Anxiety! But I would’ve felt a million times worse not doing it, and not raising awareness, and things just continuing to never get any better.
