Dr. Jonice Webb explains what Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN) is:
Helping those with Borderline Personality Disorder fight the stigma and enjoy their lives for who they are – highly empathetic, compassionate and creative people with beautiful minds.
Dr. Jonice Webb explains what Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN) is:
I strongly recommend Alice Miller’s, The Drama of Being a Child, for a good description of, and explanation of the effects of, emotional neglect and invalidation of children, and why neglected children often grown up unaware of this emotional neglect. This is an excellent, and very helpful, book.

Thanks for the suggestion! Dr. Jonice Webb, who did the video above, also has a book called “Running On Empty: Overcome Your Childhood Emotional Neglect.” It’s a very good book. I highly recommend it. Is this the book that you’re referring to: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/the-drama-of-the-gifted/9780465016907-item.html ?
