For quite a while now, I’ve been taking notice of my black-and-white thinking patterns. Especially when it comes to housework. I get so overwhelmed, and then I tell myself I don’t have to do it all right now. I can do it in stages – a little bit at a time. It’ll still get done. This helps a lot. Right now, I’m chipping away at our laundry. We were without a dryer for the first time in twenty years and just recently got a used one. The laundry had piled up while I was going to the laundromat. I’m getting it caught up slowly but surely. This is just one area of my life where I’ve noticed my black-and-white thinking. There are many other times that I’ve noticed myself doing all-or-nothing thinking. But once I notice it, I can do something about it.
Have you noticed yourself doing black-and-white or all-or-nothing thinking? Have you made any progress in that area? What have you done to make progress? Please share in the Comments below. Till next time,
— Joyce.
