The article the linked post is based on is brilliant! This captures something I believe to be of fundamental importance to promoting good mental health.
I thought that it would be helpful to lots of people. Sometimes things can be very subtle but still damaging to one’s mental health, especially children, who are still developing their own sense of identity, values, etc. You don’t need to be abused, repeated invalidation can be devastating.
